BACKGROUND

I am a Partner at Cornerstone Advisors, a management and technology consulting firm. The firm strategically supports a number of standout banks, credit unions and fintechs, helping them reach the next level of performance by providing wildly prescriptive actionable advice that goes beyond cookie-cutter.

From December of 2013 until April 15, 2022, I served as the Chief Executive Officer of DirectorCorps, Inc. — a privately-held, Nashville TN-based company that includes Bank Director, DirectorCorps and FinXTech

I am on the Advisory Board of Mendon Venture Partners, a fintech VC firm. With a fund focused on early- to mid-stage technology companies, MVP predominantly serves regional and community banks to help source, partner, and invest in areas critical to their future

In addition, I am on the Advisory Board of Nymbus, a bank technology company that enables banks and credit unions to grow and attract new market segments.  The firm delivers a full suite of banking technology, including Loan Origination, CRM and Digital — along with the operational resources to launch and run a new digital bank.

From 2019 through 2022, I hosted “Looking Ahead,” an online series produced in conjunction with Nasdaq.  Season One surfaced key industry and cross industry strategy issues for executive teams and their boards.  Season Two focuses on leadership opportunities for Financial Services, Health and Technology officers & directors.

BUSINESS FOCUS

As a partner at Cornerstone, I meet with executives from across the country to help explore growth opportunities.  In my former role, I was responsible for overseeing all of the company’s business segments — with a focus on growth, product development and expansion.  As the CEO for DirectorCorps, Inc., I was responsible for:

  • Setting the company’s strategic direction;
  • Aligning the organization in terms of intent and objectives;
  • Coaching up our team;
  • Working with our board; and
  • Representing the privately-held company to all of our constituents.

ACADEMIC + PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

I am a 1999 graduate of Washington & Lee University, where I was a four-year letterman on the varsity baseball team.

I earned an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.

My financial and technology background includes positions with:

  • Board Member, Inc., Bank Director’s previous company which is now part of the New York Stock Exchange.
  • Computech, a Bethesda, Maryland-based information technology firm now part of NCI (NASDAQ: NCIT).

NON-PROFIT WORK

I proudly support Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, the largest independent social services agency in the DC area providing critical services to hundreds of thousands of people in need.

I am an alum of Leadership Greater Washington’s “Sweet 16” class and on the Young Professionals Board of Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation.
